So I ran into a glitch when I had to use Motion Sketch in After Effects CS6 while working on Mac OS Maverick. Because apparently it doesn’t work, and it hasn’t since October 2013; an update is hopefully underway.

I had to do a Terry Gilliam style animation and I had counted on it to work.
My workaround was to use the Puppet Pin. You can animate a puppet pin in real time by dragging it while holding Command. This is called the Puppet Sketch tool.
You can also use Windows – Smoother if you want to smooth the resulting keyframes out. This replaces the Smoothing setting in Motion Sketch.
Sorry for the freaky audio, it was either that or my buzzing macbook.
