The Why of Sustainable Financial Management
Suppose you want to study Financial Management at the Hanze University of Applied Science.
You already see yourself operating in the world of fast cash: juggling with numbers, clever arithmetic and in control of spending. You as a financial manager and hub of the organization.
And if you do it right, you get a fat bonus. Money, that’s what our economy revolves around. Or is there more than just money and material gain?
The banking crisis and the economic crisis made it obvious that our system and thinking of money are incorrect. Money is not an end but a means. A means to build a sustainable economy.
Sustainable? A bit of a container term but the basis of the new thinking about financial management .
The Institute of Financial Management at Hanze University trains you to become a sustainable financial. We’ll let you practice in sustainable efficiency savings.
You’ll learn to think about the social consequences of tax tricks. You will realise that trust plays an important role in auditing or the IRS.
We develop this knowledge about sustainable financial management through research. In line with a rich history on this subject.
Did you know that in the fourth century BC, Plato already pondered whether we have a social responsibility as a human being or that we are only responsible for ourselves?
The research and knowledge development takes place within the lectorship sustainable financial management. Together with the business community.
This way we take collective responsibility for a valuable world.
